Due to our continued growth, we have an opening for the newly created position of Business Analyst and Developer to be the information systems functional expert for one of our business units. This person will be the sole point of contact between the business unit and the Information Technology group.
What we seek in the ideal candidate: An aggressive, persuasive and effective individual motivated each day to manage self and adapt to ever changing situations, a relationship builder and a strong leader. A person willing to put forth whatever effort is necessary to get the job done right.
Qualifications: Minimum of Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, MIS or IT. Certification in MCTS is a plus. Advanced skills in SQL and SQL database development, Dot.Net, XML and AIX operating systems is a requirement. Working knowledge of STRATIX and INTUITIVE ERP systems is highly valued.
Duties: Will assist Operation Leaders in developing tactical and strategic databases, reports and programs to support the business unit’s goals. Will develop and provide on-going support of data warehouse, business analytics and reporting systems. Will create and develop effective reporting tools for the business unit by extracting data from the ERP system, custom databases and customer forecasts. Will take assigned projects from original concept through final implementation. Will define and implement quality assurance practices and procedures. Will assist with the identification of training and development requirements of the applications developed and other such responsibilities. Must have strong analytical and reporting skills, information technology proficiency and 3 or more years experience in DBA, DBMS design and support and relevant computing environments.

The Oscar Winski Company/Lafayette Steel and Aluminum, a multi-divisional metals company, has a great opportunity for a Laser Operator on 3rd shift at our Lafayette, Indiana location.
The desired skills and experience include:

two years experience as a laser operator

blue print reading

Mitsubishi laser software preferred

experience working with carbon steel, aluminum and stainless steel
Job duties include:

set up 3 axis laser

load, unload, operate and clean machine

quality inspection of parts including documenting inspections

perform routine preventative maintenance
